Couple dancing under the chandeliers in The Dome at The Hendrix while guests cheer, Stafford, Houston

The Dome · Upstairs at The Hendrix

A room built for 80, not 300.

Most Houston venues sell you a ballroom and hope you fill it. This one is sized for the guest list you actually have.

From $1,200 · same price every day of the week · free guest parking

Eighty guests in a three-hundred-seat hall feels like a school assembly.

That is the whole problem with booking a big room for a small party. The dance floor is stranded in the middle, the tables huddle at one end, and the photographs have empty chairs in the background.

The Dome is the upper floor at The Hendrix. About 2,000 square feet, sized for 80 guests or fewer, with its own large marble bar and its own washroom — so your guests never walk downstairs through somebody else’s evening.

It shares the Mansion’s 1,000 sq ft prep kitchen, so your caterer has everything they need. Bring your own food, your own decorator, your own playlist.

And it costs the same on a Tuesday as it does on a Saturday. No weekend premium.

Questions people ask about the Dome

How many people does the Dome actually seat?

We book the Dome for 80 guests or fewer. It is about 2,000 sq ft on the upper floor. If your list runs past 80, the Mansion downstairs seats 300 or holds 350 standing.

What does it cost?

$1,200 for a daytime booking (9am – 3pm), $1,500 for an evening (6pm – 1am) and $2,000 for a full day (10am – 1am). The same price every day of the week.

Does it have its own bar?

Yes, its own large marble bar, and its own washroom, so nobody walks downstairs mid-party. It shares the Mansion’s 1,000 sq ft prep kitchen.

Can we bring our own caterer and decor?

Yes. Bring your own caterer, your own decorator and your own music. There is no approved-supplier list.

Will another event be running downstairs?

No. Only one event runs in the building at a time. Book the Dome and the building belongs to your guests.

What is it best for?

Baby and bridal showers, engagement parties, milestone birthdays, small corporate meetings, repasts and intimate receptions — anything where 300 seats would feel empty.

Come and stand in it.

A room is hard to judge from photographs. Tours take about thirty minutes, we book you in for a full hour, and you will leave knowing whether the Dome is the right room for your day.
