Baby shower venues in Houston
A baby shower is two hours long, has forty guests, and is photographed more heavily per minute than almost any other event. Which means the room matters more than the guest count suggests — and that most venues are quoting you for the wrong thing entirely.

Three things to settle before you look at rooms
Can you get in early?
A shower with a balloon arch or a blossom installation needs two to three hours of set-up. Ask what time your decorator can be in the building, not just what time the shower starts. Venues that turn two events a day rarely give you that.
How will it photograph?
Pale walls and real daylight from the tall windows mean the room photographs well without a lighting rig — and because only one event runs at a time, there is no clock on the photographs. Shoot in daylight, shoot after the uplighting goes on, shoot both. Your photographer has the room for as long as your booking runs.
Who is doing the food?
Showers run on small plates rather than a seated meal. Ask whether you can bring the bakery and the caterer you want, and whether there is a percentage on either.
Why the Dome suits a shower
The Dome upstairs is about 2,000 sq ft and we market it at eighty guests or fewer — which is nearly always more than a shower needs, so the room feels generous rather than tight.
It has its own large marble bar, which handles a mocktail station without you renting one in, and it is the same price on any day of the week. That last point matters more than people expect: a Saturday afternoon shower costs no more here than a Tuesday one.
$1,200 daytime, $1,500 evening, $2,000 full day. Add a $200 cleaning fee, a refundable $350 deposit, and a $300 security fee where alcohol is served or the event runs into the evening.

If it is a bigger family
Plenty of Houston showers run past eighty guests, particularly for a first grandchild. At that point the Mansion downstairs seats 300 from $2,500, takes an installation of any size, and is step-free from the main entrance — which matters when grandparents are coming.
Baby shower questions
How much is a baby shower venue in Houston?
The Dome at The Hendrix in Stafford is $1,200 daytime, $1,500 evening and $2,000 for a full day, the same price on any day of the week. Add a $200 cleaning fee, a $300 security fee and a refundable $350 deposit.
How many guests fit in the Dome for a shower?
About 2,000 sq ft, marketed at 80 guests or fewer, which is comfortably more than most showers need. Past eighty the Mansion downstairs seats 300 from $2,500.
Can my decorator get in early to build a balloon arch?
Yes. Only one event runs at a time, so there is no turnaround to work around. Tell us your set-up window when you book and your decorator can be in the building ahead of your guests.
Can we bring our own bakery and caterer?
Yes. There is no approved supplier list and no markup on the food bill. Your baker, caterer, decorator and photographer are all your own choice.
Is a Saturday shower more expensive?
Not in the Dome. It is priced the same on any day of the week, so a Saturday afternoon shower costs no more than a Tuesday one.
Is the venue accessible for grandparents?
The ground-floor Mansion is step-free from the main entrance. The Dome is upstairs, so if mobility is a concern for several guests the Mansion is the better room.
How long can our photographer stay?
For as long as your booking runs. Only one event takes place at a time, so there is no turnaround pushing you out and no restriction on when photographs are taken. Shoot in daylight, shoot later under the uplighting, or both.
