A gender reveal is about four seconds long and gets watched a hundred times afterwards. Those four seconds need height for the confetti, light that does not turn everyone orange, and a background that is not somebody’s garage door.
You get a room with real ceiling height, chandeliers, plain white walls that take any palette, and a 3D video wall behind the couple for the countdown.

Worth asking before you book anywhere
Ceiling height
Cannons, confetti and balloon drops all need somewhere to go. A low function-room ceiling ruins the shot and, occasionally, the ceiling.
Indoor effects
Cloud effects and a cold sparkler come with the Premium package. Anything involving smoke, flame or powder should be raised at booking rather than on the day.
Where the camera stands
The Mansion is one open level, so a videographer can get far enough back to hold both the couple and the guests in one frame.

Gender reveal questions
Where can we hold a gender reveal near Houston?
The Hendrix in Stafford, minutes from Sugar Land, hosts gender reveals in either of its two private rooms. The Dome suits 80 guests or fewer from $1,200; The Mansion holds up to 350 and has full ceiling height for cannons and balloon drops.
Can we use confetti cannons or a balloon drop indoors?
Raise it when you enquire. The Mansion has full ceiling height, which is what those effects need, but anything involving smoke, flame or powder must be agreed in advance rather than on the day.
Are special effects included?
Cloud effects and a cold sparkler come with the Premium package. A 3D video wall is included with every booking and can run a countdown behind the couple.
Can we bring our own decorator and caterer?
Yes. There is no approved supplier list and no percentage taken from your food bill. A 1,000 sq ft prep kitchen is available for whoever is catering.
How much does it cost?
The Dome starts at $1,200 and is the same price on any day of the week. The Mansion starts at $2,500. The only other charges are a refundable $500 deposit, $300 for security where alcohol is served, and optional 3D video mapping.
