Most studios are a box with a backdrop
Which is fine until you need to shoot a group, light something tall, or run a content day where six people rotate through three set-ups without falling over each other.
What you get here is space. Nearly ten thousand square feet on the ground floor, real ceiling height, chandeliers and panelled walls that photograph as a location rather than a rental, and a loading door you can reverse a car up to.
Bring your own crew, your own gear and your own catering. No approved supplier list and no percentage taken.

Worth knowing before you book
Weekdays are the point
Monday to Thursday daytime is when the building is quietest and cheapest. If your shoot is flexible, that is the slot to ask for.
Bring your own lighting
The room gives you space, power and height. Backdrops, strobes and grip are yours to bring or hire in — we place no restriction on suppliers.
Two rooms, two floors
The photography space is on the ground floor with step-free access from the car park, so backdrops, cases and stands never go up a staircase. The podcast and recording room sits upstairs, away from the street noise.
Studio questions
Can I book the photography or podcast studio yet?
Not yet. The two studio rooms are still being fitted out — photography on the ground floor and podcast and recording upstairs — so The Hendrix is not taking studio bookings at this stage. Ask to join the studio list and you will be told first when dates open.
What will the studio be used for?
Photography and content days, podcast and interview records, brand shoots and product work. The rooms are being built for crews who want space, height and power rather than a box with a backdrop.
Will lighting and equipment be provided?
There will be no requirement to hire ours. The rooms provide space, power and height; you bring or hire in your own backdrops, lighting and grip. The Hendrix places no restriction on suppliers.
How will load-in work?
Access is at ground level directly from the car park, so cases and stands do not go up a staircase or along a corridor. Parking is free and on site.
Can I still book a room at The Hendrix in the meantime?
Yes. The Mansion and the Dome are available now for events, and both can be hired for a shoot day. Rates for those rooms are published in full on the pricing page.
